The Creepypasta Jam Winners

The Creepypasta Jam submission period has long since wrapped up, in the time since then me and the team went through all the submissions and picked out our favorites! 

I know it's the cheesiest thing I could possibly write in a winners announcement post but like, genuinely, it's always such a pleasure to go through what people make for these events. Thank you to everyone who took the time to make something! Every submission had its own idea of what's scary or what a ‘Creepypasta’ even is, it's cool, not much else to say on that front, it's just really cool!! And SCARY!! Spooky!!! AHhh!!! All those gosh darn scary woodland creatures and digital demons will haunt my nightmares for many moons to come !!

That being said, The Top 3!!

That concludes the Creepypasta Jam Winners!!

I am truly honored to have been able to host such a fun event, The Top 3 winners have already been contacted about Prize Delivery shenanigans and the whole team is still head down working away at the game all this stuff is gonna be featured in. Which we should probably go over now…

The plan at the moment is to launch this post to just let everyone know the state of stuff (especially so you don’t gotta wait like a billion years to know who won) and also to make it clear how the final project is being handled. For the final game project the team and I are trying to make something really special, it’s gonna be awhile til its done because we got big plans!! Also because we are all adults with lives that are working in our free time, that factor certainly contributes a lot to the wait time.

If you are familiar with last year's showcase project you should have a basic idea of the kind of thing we are digging towards, imagine that but way more fleshed out! With more puzzles, story, NPCs, etc etc!! I am remiss to share too much cause I'm the type of person that doesn't like to do the big talky, I prefer just letting projects speak for themselves on their own damn two feet!! But alas… with something like this, I feel it would be way better to at least give somethingggg so everyone isn’t in the dark on where the heck the showcase is!!!

TL;DR We’re working on it! it's a way bigger undertaking than normal for this kind of stuff! 

This whole event began from a stupid discord shitpost and I feel like it evolved into something really neat and special due to an unabashed love for internet horror and its silly history. I genuinely love Creepypastas if it wasn’t obvious from the whole… yearly event thing. Speaking of, I have no idea if I’m gonna do this again next October like usual. If I do, it will probably be a LOT smaller. It won’t be obvious at the time of this being posted but, The Creepypasta Jam has been a huge undertaking. Either way, I guess we’ll just have to see what the future holds…

I’ve been writing and organizing and coding for so long that my eyes have begun to bleed hyper realistic blood ow ouchie OW!!! It hurTSSS!! I think its a sign I should go back to work before i get caught slacking off again !!!
