Newgrounds beware! You’re in for a scare!

In keeping the spirit of classic internet horror alive, This jam is all about creating Audio Narrative works centered around the themes and stylings of old Internet Creepypastas/Horror stories. The best submissions will then be featured in a small Puzzle game, where you can find the winning entries to the jam as in game collectables. You can write about whatever! A story about a Haunted game cartridge you got a yard sale? Scary youtube video that deleted itself? Evil pico Crawled out of your monitor and killed your family? Do whatever you think would be fun or scary! (or both!) The tone is up to you. You are encouraged to write out a script and collaborate with voice actors and musicians to bring your spooky audio experience to life!
Please do keep in mind this is an Audio based jam, Finished submissions should be uploaded to the Audio portal.
Jam Requirements:
- Submissions should not be longer than 13 minutes.
- Upload your submission to the Audio portal, tagged with 'ng-creepypasta-jam'
- You must enabled downloads on your submission! (we have to get it somehow, if you aren't scouted you will have to provide an alternate method of downloading your submission)
- Make sure to put the transcript of your story in the description of the post
- Please do not submit anything that is hateful in nature.
- No use of AI generated content is allowed
- No A-rated submissions allowed.
- No Copyrighted Music
The submission deadline is November 14th at Noon CST.
Entries will be judged by the Devteam:
we've been hard at work behind the scenes on the game itself!
(Some members of the team may make or work on submissions to the event but this does not take a slot away from anyone, do not worry!)
Prizes/Participation:
The Top 3 entries will have NPC Cameos in the game! (We'll contact winners to sort out the details)
and then generally our favorite entries will be included in the game!
Honorable Mentions, if we have any, will still be included in the games collection page as long as they follow the jam guidelines.
Here are some example submissions from last years event if you need reference!
Happy (early) Halloween !
